GLL is looking for a Catering Assistant to work at the Hub National Centre for Craft & Design in Sleaford. This is more than a Catering Assistant job, it's a career.  Post: Catering Assistant  Contract: Permanent part-time 23.5 hours per week  Working Hours: Thursday (10am-2pm) Friday & Saturday (9am-5.15pm)  Salary: £15,439.54 per annum (full time equivalent £25,623.07 based on 39 hours)  We are looking for a friendly, passionate, conscientious and enthusiastic team player to join our busy CafeBar team. As Catering Assistant at the Hub, you will deliver a vital role in the daily operation and smooth running of the Hub’s CaféBar, working with a small dynamic team to deliver a high-quality food and drink service.  For more information about the Hub visit www.hub-sleaford.org.uk    Summary of what you’ll do:  • Provide friendly and prompt customer service that enriches the visitor experience at the Hub.  • Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the CafeBar including, preparing and serving food drinks to a high standard, maintaining stock levels, delivering routine checks, cleaning and washing up.  • Ensure the CaféBar is safe, clean and presented to the highest standard at all times.  • Prepare and deliver the Hub’s daily menu of hot & cold drinks and food, ensuring compliance with food safety law.  • Take orders and payments ensuring accurate cash handling, and complete daily cashing up procedures.  • Support the delivery of events including, setting up rooms and banqueting tables, and helping to prepare buffets and catering.  • As directed by the duty management, ensure all routine health and safety checks are completed and environmental health requirements are fully met.  • Be present and alert during opening hours to ensure the health and safety and comfort of all visitors, reporting any problems to the Duty Manager.  • Undertake training and CPD as required.  • Undertake any other duties consistent with the role and as requested by management.  Summary of what you need:  • Excellent customer service skills  • Confidence in engaging with visitors of all ages and backgrounds  • Aptitude for multi-tasking and prioritising to meet deadlines  • Attention to detail with good organisation skills  • You will be enthusiastic and hard-working with excellent attention to detail  • Work under pressure  • Good time management  • Excellent focus and attention to detail  • Skilled and enthusiastic in delivering an excellent standard of cleanliness  • Previous experience of front of house, barista or bar work is desired  • A can-do attitude  • Reliable and punctual  • Motivated with a flexible and adaptable approach  • Requirement to work flexibly to support the centre daily’s operations  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently  The Hub is owned and funded by North Kesteven District Council and is a National Portfolio Organisation of Arts Council England.
