Job Description Urban Swim Academy swim coaches must be able to help us with our mission stated above. They plan and implement suitable training programmes for individuals or groups. Whatever the context, they will develop participants' technical skills and physical fitness and provide the best possible practical conditions to assist our clients to meet their goals. Job Purpose • To provide swimming teaching for children and adults, incorporating all levels of skills, encompassing both one-on-one and group training sessions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Swim Instruction • Learn and apply the Urban Swim Academy’s designed curriculum. • Develop safe and result-oriented personal swimming programs aligned with clients' goals and fitness levels. • Teach and demonstrate appropriate techniques, encouraging water activities safely. • Teach water safety to all participants. • Observe participants, provide corrective measures for skill improvement, and seek continuous feedback. • Follow industry trends and learn new skills for offering variety to customers. • Conduct swim assessments for group class placement and progress measurement. • Ensure teaching and practice areas are hazard-free and equipment is safe. • Administer emergency first aid and handle accident or emergency situations according to protocols. • Offer assistance to schools when required. Customer Service, Administration, and Sales: • Follow company administrative standards • Complete all admin tasks related to client sessions promptly • Maintain accurate customer records, progress plans, and sessions • Advise customers on retail opportunities and upsell services • Proactively acquire new clients and maintain a full schedule • Provide photo and video material for marketing and social media • Collect payments from clients • Attend company events as required • Keep certifications up to date including first aid and swim teacher/coaching qualifications • Be proactive with professional development training   DRESS CODE: Employees must present a clean, professional appearance wearing provided company attire during work hours. PRE-REQUISITE FOR APPLICATION: • 21 years of age or above. • Minimum 3 years of swim teaching/coaching experience. • Relevant certified qualifications • Enthusiastic, positive attitude, and good communication skills. • Ability to work with diverse age groups and skill sets. • Clean police record and driving license. • Access to a computer or tablet for administration work. • Medically and physically fit for mandatory fitness tests for the obtention of a UAE work permit. • Free of any previous employment restrictions WORKING CONDITIONS: Irregular hours based on customer demand, including weekends. Most coaching will take place in outdoor locations. Maximum 48 working hours per week with a minimum of 20 coaching hours. Reports to the General Manager / Aquatics Manager with a dotted line to program leaders. Full time (5.5 days per week) with flexible days/times.
