Neptune Aquatics is looking for a passionate and dedicated Duty Manager to join our dynamic team at Octopus Hydrotherapy Pool, Rowde 🌊 About Us Neptune Aquatics is a thriving social enterprise on a mission to make warm water hydrotherapy pools accessible to everyone. Every week, we support over 1,100 users through our diverse and impactful sessions, including Hydrotherapy, Aquatic Fitness, Swimming Lessons, and Family Swim. Our new Octopus Hydrotherapy Pool, opened in January 2025, is the next exciting step in that mission—helping even more people live well, move better, and feel their best. 🔍 Your Role: Duty Manager As the Duty Manager, you'll be the on-shift leader, ensuring the smooth, safe, and professional running of the facility while delivering a first-class experience to our users. This is a operational role ideal for someone with a passion for health and fitness, strong leadership skills, and a love for community connection. You’ll be the face of the facility, supporting staff, working with schools, overseeing pool operations, and playing a key part in growing our user base. You’ll also have the opportunity to train as a Hydro Fitness Instructor, run hydrotherapy classes, train as a swimming teacher and learn how to introduce swimmers to the water for the first time. 🙋‍♀️ About You You're upbeat, friendly, and love helping people You communicate clearly and confidently You're reliable, organised, and calm under pressure You have experience in leisure, health, fitness, or similar fields (or transferable skills) You're passionate about giving people a great experience—every time 🎯 What You'll Be Doing 🧼 Cleanliness & Standards Maintain exceptional hygiene in all areas (pool, changing rooms, communal spaces) Ensure all cleaning checklists are completed daily and signed off Conducting cleanliness audits and responding 🛠 Operational & Facility Management Perform all opening and closing procedures accurately Oversee pool plant checks, safety logs, and water quality Report maintenance issues and ensure follow-up 👥 Team Leadership & Support Lead and support staff while on shift Ensure staff standards are maintained Coach and motivate staff to deliver an excellent customer experience 📞 Customer Experience & Memberships Be the first point of contact for any on-site queries or issues Handle customer callbacks and resolve complaints Promote memberships and encourage repeat usage of the facility 🏫 School & Community Liaison Coordinate safe access for Silverwood School students Uphold safeguarding and professional standards at all times Liaise with school staff to ensure seamless transitions 🚀 Growth & Development Support marketing of classes and programs (Hydro-cise, Family Swim) Provide feedback to management for continuous improvement Train in Aquatic Fitness (optional) and deliver 1-to-1 or group sessions 🚀 Training & Development Opportunities We love helping our team grow.
