About the Role We are seeking passionate and qualified Swim Teachers to join our team at Sports Coaching Group. The role will take place in primary schools across Cheshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire with overtime opportunities in the evenings, weekends and during school holidays. The successful candidate will be delivering swim stages 1 to 4, aligned with swim England's Learn to Swim scheme. Working hours are generally between 9am-3pm with some exceptions which would require a 4pm finish. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and conduct structured swimming lessons for students of varying ages and skill levels. Based around our Swimming stages. Teach fundamental swimming techniques, water safety skills, and stroke development in a progressive and age-appropriate manner. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and skill development. Provide individualised instruction and support to students, addressing their unique learning needs and challenges. Conduct assessments to track student progress. Ensure the safety and well-being of students during swimming lessons, adhering to established safety protocols and guidelines. Communicate effectively with students and parents providing updates on students' progress and addressing any concerns. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in swimming instruction, incorporating innovative teaching methods into lessons. Requirements: Essential Valid level 2 swim teacher certification. The ability to gain an Enhanced DBS. Strong swimming skills and proficiency in various swim strokes and techniques. Previous experience teaching swimming lessons to children. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young learners. Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for teaching swimming and water safety. Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Punctual, reliable, and a strong sense of responsibility.
