Swimming Teacher – Kingfisher Leisure Centre - Hourly rate £16.16 In this role you will have the great responsibility and satisfaction in teaching those of any age to swim. You will be observant of those in the water and be confident in delivering great, enthusiastic sessions for all to learn and grow in their swimming journey Various Roles/Shifts available: 3.5 hours per week – Saturday 08:00-11:30am 2.0 hours per week – Saturday 08:00 – 10:00am Abbeycroft can offer you: • A multisite membership • A discounted multisite membership for someone that lives with you • Free child swims (not lessons) • A generous annual leave entitlement • Pension Scheme with NEST • After 6 months service you may be eligible for our death in service scheme • Opportunities for career development and progression • HealthKey which provides: - A real GP, available 24/7, by text or video — no appointments, no waiting - A confidential helpline for emotional, legal, and financial worries - Discounts on hundreds of high street brands — supermarkets, holidays, fashion, fitness, days out - Mental health support - Up to 6 counselling sessions per year with no GP or other referral needed Key Responsibilities: • Instructing and developing students • Developing and creating lesson plans in line with the Swim Academy • Maintaining a safe environment • Setting up lessons and down lessons, including equipment • Providing excellent customer service to enhance the overall experience for our guests. • Assessing progress of students and providing feedback where required • Communicating effectively with students and families for a positive learning experience Requirements: • Responsible individual with a passion for working in leisure, health, and wellbeing. • Prior experience swim teaching, or similar (not essential) • Strong commitment to safety and the wellbeing of others. • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. • Strong understanding and ability to deliver effective customer service in various scenarios Qualifications: • An STA or Swim England Level 2 Swim Teaching Qualification minimum Candidates without this qualification may be able to attain with Abbeycroft after a successful interview.
