Swimming Coordinator Full-Time or Part-Time Opportunity Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 + Bonus up to £2,400 (OTE up to £34,400) Additional: Relocation package available Location: Hybrid role combining home, office (based in Reading), and venue-based working across five days (Tuesday–Saturday). We are open to a 3- or 4-day rota, although Fridays and Saturdays must remain part of the schedule. Salary will be pro-rata for reduced hours. Candidates should ideally be based in East Berkshire, South Bucks/Oxfordshire, Middlesex, or North-West Surrey, with attendance at our Reading head office required at least three times per week. This is a key role overseeing day-to-day delivery across multiple venues, supporting both SwimExpert private lessons and HydroKidz small-group programmes. This position suits an ambitious, commercially aware and operationally strong individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality swimming programmes. You’ll play an important role in maintaining standards, supporting staff, and driving further growth across our network. There is also scope to grow the role, with progression opportunities as we expand into additional venues and programmes. Schedule & Working Pattern The full-time role is based on a 40-hour-per-week contract. We are also open to part-time arrangements; however, this would require availability for a minimum of two weekdays/evenings plus Saturday coverage. Weekday shifts typically commence between 10:00am and 12:00pm, with working hours running through to the appropriate finish time based on operational requirements. On Saturdays, lessons begin at 8:00am, with typical start times of 7:00am or 7:30am, and the day generally running through to early afternoon. There is a good degree of autonomy within the role. Working alongside the Director of Operations and the wider coordination team, there is flexibility in how hours are managed across the week. Where additional hours are worked on a particular day, time can be balanced by starting later or finishing earlier on another day, or otherwise adjusted within the same week. This is coordinated collaboratively to ensure operational coverage while maintaining flexibility. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage Learn to Swim programme delivery Coordinate staffing and scheduling across venues Lead inductions, mentoring, and ongoing team development Monitor performance, KPIs, and operational standards Ensure safeguarding, H&S, and compliance requirements are met Support growth initiatives and customer experience improvements Deliver approximately up to 5 hours of teaching per week to lead by example Requirements Strong leadership and organisational skills Administrative skills with experience in scheduling, coordination, record-keeping, and managing operational documentation across multiple workstreams. Good communicator with a customer-focused approach Confident using systems and software, with the ability to learn internal platforms quickly Swim England / STA Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) Teachers rescue or Lifeguarding certification (or able to complete a course of) Knowledge of Learn to Swim framework Understanding of safeguarding and H&S requirements Flexible and adaptable to operational needs Confident using Microsoft Office Full UK driving licence Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
