Swim with Style is looking for an experienced and confident Level 2 Swimming Teacher to oversee the day-to-day running of our West Midlands swimming sessions after school and or weekends. This is a poolside leadership role, not simply a teaching position. We need someone organised, assertive and professional who is comfortable supervising an established teaching team, maintaining standards and ensuring each session runs safely and consistently. Key responsibilities Oversee swimming teachers and the smooth running of lessons poolside Ensure teachers follow the correct Swim with Style lesson plans and programme Make sure swimmers attend the correct class and teachers do not move or teach swimmers outside their allocated class without authorisation Complete/check registers and attendance records Monitor swimmer progress and ensure progress records are kept up to date Organise and distribute badges, certificates and awards Deal with routine parent/team messages and pass on anything requiring Head Office attention Coordinate lifeguard arrangements and poolside set-up before sessions Ensure required safety procedures are followed at all times Check equipment and teaching areas are ready before lessons Support teachers where necessary and address issues promptly and professionally Maintain a calm, organised and professional poolside environment Report any concerns, incidents or operational issues to Head Office What we’re looking for You must: Have strong practical swimming-teaching experience Be confident supervising and directing other teachers Be highly organised and reliable Be comfortable challenging poor practice or failure to follow procedures Have excellent communication skills with teachers, parents and children Be confident making decisions poolside Take safety, safeguarding and professional standards seriously Be able to follow an established programme rather than changing systems independently Current safeguarding, DBS and appropriate pool/lifesaving qualifications will be required in line with the role.
