Join Danielle’s Swimming Academy – become a key part of our Pod! Danielle’s Swimming Academy is expanding, and we’re looking for two responsible, attentive Lifeguards to support our growing programme at Thomas Alleyne School in Uttoxeter. This role is ideal for sixth form or college students looking for flexible work that fits around their studies. As a Lifeguard, you will play an essential role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of both swimmers and instructors. You’ll maintain vigilant poolside supervision, respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations, and provide life saving support and first aid when required. We work with swimmers of all abilities, including neurodivergent swimmers and those with additional needs. An understanding of how neurodivergent children may experience the pool environment—such as sensory differences, communication needs, or anxiety around new situations—is a valuable bonus. Your patience, awareness, and willingness to adapt will help create a calm and supportive experience for every swimmer. A knowledge of child development is also highly beneficial. Understanding how children learn, build confidence, and respond to guidance supports safer pool supervision and helps you recognise when a swimmer may need reassurance, redirection, or heightened monitoring around the water. This is a self employed position with regular term time hours available from April 2026.
