Baby and Pre-School Swimming Teacher

Could you be our next Puddle Ducks swimming teacher? Puddle Ducks Coventry & Warwickshire is growing, and we are looking for a warm, enthusiastic and reliable person to join our lovely teaching team. We teach fun, engaging and confidence-building swimming lessons for babies, toddlers and pre-school children, helping little ones develop an important life skill in a calm, nurturing and supportive environment. This is a hugely rewarding role where you’ll work closely with children and their grown-ups, helping families enjoy the water together and supporting children as they grow in confidence each week. You do not need to already be a qualified swimming teacher to apply. For the right person, we can support and fund the required training and qualifications. About the role This is a part-time, permanent position with regular weekly teaching hours during our Puddle Ducks swim terms. Current hours available include: - Mondays 13:30 - 15:30 - Fridays 09:30 - 11:30 - Saturdays 09:00 - 12:00 and 13:00 - 15:00 We also have additional hours available at other pools. Our classes run during our published Puddle Ducks term dates, with planned breaks communicated in advance. There may also be opportunities for additional hours as the business continues to grow. As a Puddle Ducks teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons in line with the Puddle Ducks programme. You’ll create a positive, safe and supportive environment where children can learn, have fun and build water confidence at their own pace. What we’re looking for We’re looking for someone who: Loves working with babies, children and families Is confident in the water Is warm, friendly and enthusiastic Has excellent communication skills Is reliable, organised and punctual Is willing to learn and take on training Can commit to regular weekly classes during our swim terms Has access to their own transport Is willing to complete an enhanced DBS check Holds, or is willing to work towards, the required swimming teaching qualifications Experience working with children is helpful, but not essential. The most important thing is the right personality, attitude and willingness to learn. Training and support For the right candidate, Puddle Ducks can fund the required qualifications, including: STA Award in Teaching Swimming or equivalent STA Safety Award for Teachers or equivalent Enhanced DBS check You’ll also receive comprehensive Puddle Ducks in-house training, ongoing mentoring and support from our local team.
