Swim teacher

We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate swimming teachers to complement the swim teaching team at Aylsham Swim Academy at Aylsham Sports Hub. These positions are part of our extensive STA learn to swim programme and the successful candidates will be dynamic and engaging teachers who can deliver learn to swim lessons to a variety of ages and abilities. Time will be provided to prepare lessons and ensure that all families receive consistent feedback on a half termly basis. Our swim teachers have regular team meetings to share ideas and to support each other to continue to develop their practice and regular coaching is offered. As well as being an organised and confident communicator, you must be able to flourish in a busy environment and understand the importance of being a team player. You must bring enthusiasm, a passion for excellent customer service and a 'can-do' attitude to the post. The successful candidate will ideally hold an STA Level 2 certificate in teaching swimming enabling them to teach at the higher levels we offer. It would also be desirable for them to hold a STA Level 2 Award in Aquatic Teaching – Baby and Pre-School Swimming but all applicants are welcome. Candidates with an STA level 2 award in teaching swimming or equivalent can also apply. Successful candidates who are qualified under Swim England or any other approving body will be supported to convert their qualification to enable them to deliver our STA programme of classes. A National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTAC) Qualification would be advantageous but not essential as we will support the right candidate to obtain this qualification. It would be beneficial if the successful candidate also holds a First Aid at Work (FAW) Certificate. We will consider SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant Qualified applications for potential swimming assistant positions. Self-employed status may be considered for the right
