Swimming Instructor

World of Swimming is looking for a confident, motivated Level 2 Swimming Teacher to join our team at Harwell School. Hours available: Monday: 4pm–7pm Saturday: 9am–12.30pm April - October We will also be recruiting soon for additional hours at our Oxford pools including at Radley College. This role is ideal if you enjoy teaching properly structured lessons, working with small class sizes, and seeing real progress week to week. About World of Swimming Our goal is simple: teach the world to swim, safely and well. We teach over 2,000 swimmers each week across Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, and Oxfordshire, supported by a team of more than 100 experienced, passionate teachers. We focus on Safe, Fun, and Progress and we mean all three. No overcrowded classes. No cutting corners. The Role You will deliver high-quality swimming lessons following the Swim England framework, teaching: Children aged 3+ Adults at beginner and improver level You will work with small class sizes, allowing you to teach properly rather than manage chaos. What We’re Looking For Essential ASA Level 2 or STA Award / Certificate (or international equivalent) Confident communicator with a calm, professional manner Strong swimming ability and sound technical knowledge Passion for helping swimmers build confidence and progress Desirable Baby & Preschool qualification Lifesaving qualification (training can be provided if needed) Key Responsibilities Deliver safe, engaging, and progressive swimming lessons Plan and structure lessons in line with the Swim England framework Create a welcoming, supportive environment for swimmers and families Record attendance and swimmer progress using Soakly Represent World of Swimming positively and uphold our teaching standards What We Offer £15 per hour + 5.6 weeks holiday pay (STA Award / Swim England Level 1) £21 per hour + 5.6 weeks holiday pay (STA Certificate / Swim England qualified) Small class sizes (typically 3–5 swimmers) Supportive management and a well-organised programme The chance to teach a life skill that genuinely matters Benefits: Employee discount On-site parking Referral programme Work Location: In person
