Train to Become a Swim Teacher

Are you interested in becoming a Swim Teacher? Now’s your chance! We are offering an exciting opportunity to train as a swim teacher and work for your local Active Lifestyle Centre! You will gain a Nationally recognised Swim Teaching Qualification with the possibility of further career development within the Leisure Industry. This course is being held at Yate Active Lifestyle Centre on the following dates: Wednesday 8th April: 2:00 - 8:30 pm Thursday 9th April: 10:30 - 7:30pm Friday 10th April: 3:00 - 7:30pm Saturday 11th April: 8:00 - 5:00pm Sunday 12th April: 11:00 - 8:00pm Please be aware that parking charges apply at Yate Leisure Centre Car Park. Candidates will be expected to pay these charges during the course. Times are provisional and full attendance is required. We have contracted and casual roles available. During the application and interview process you will be asked to indicate your preference for fixed hours of work (contracted) or working for us on an “as and when required” (casual) basis. Please note the following for each: Contracted: We will fund 100% of the course, subject to you signing a training agreement. The training agreement stipulates that you must agree to repay in full the cost of the training if you: Leave the organisation during your first 12 months of employment Do not complete the STA Course Are dismissed for any reason other than redundancy Casual: We will fund 50% of the course and you will fund the remaining 50% subject to you signing a training agreement. The training agreement stipulates that you must agree to repay in full Circadian Trust’s contribution to the cost of the training if you: Leave the organisation during your first 12 months of work Do not complete the STA Course Do not work for a period of three consecutive months Shifts available are as follows: Bradley Stoke - Contracted and Casual roles available. Contracted shifts are as follows: Thursday: 4:00 - 6:00pm Saturday: 9:30 - 11:30am Sunday: 4:30 - 7:30pm Kingswood - Contracted and Casual roles available. Contracted shifts are as follows: Wednesdays 3.30pm - 6.00pm Thursdays 3.30pm - 5.00pm Saturdays 8.00am - 11.00am Thornbury - Contracted and Casual roles available. Contracted shifts are as follows: Monday: 4:00 - 6:30pm Thursday: 3:30 - 5:30pm Friday: 3:30 - 6:00pm Longwell Green - Contracted and Casual roles available. Contracted shifts are as follows: Tuesdays 3.45pm - 6.30pm Wednesdays 4.00pm - 6.00pm Thursdays 5.30pm - 7.30pm Saturdays 9.30am - 12.00pm Sundays 3.30pm - 5.30pm Yate - Contracted and Casual roles available. Contracted shifts are as follows: Contracted roles may be available at a later date and availability can be discussed at interview. There will be a minimum guarantee of 1 hours per week associated with this role.
